Molds Wanted!

We are the Quiroga-Klein Family and we have 3 passions.  We have a passion for technology, a passion for hobby ceramics and a passion for helping others succeed.

Pat has worked with computers much of his adult life.  He loves working on the Internet and developing applications and playing with new techie gadgets that help people get their jobs done.

I have dabbled in hobby ceramics since childhood.  In my late 20’s I went to a small local shop that was an hour away from our home.  I didn’t mind the drive once a week because I loved the craft.  Several years later, the shop closed.

There were no shops in our immediate area, so Pat and I decided to open up our own shop.  In 2000 we opened Sweet Pea Ceramics in rural St. Johns, Michigan.  Anyone that has started a small business knows it is hard work, but we were stunned at how alone we felt in the industry.  In addition, we had an un-nerving feeling that the industry that we had just tied all of our hopes and dreams to was failing.  We don’t have any fancy statistics to back this up; we have just watched small shops close over the years with fewer long term replacements and we have discussed it with other shop owners.  The pulse of the industry seems weak.

But we are not ones to give up very easily and we set our minds to taking what we do best and applying that to the Hobby Ceramics Industry and CeramicsNetwork.com is the result of 4 years of work for Pat and me.  We have wrapped everything we are into this venture.  All with the ultimate goal of helping our shop and others like it not only survive, but thrive.

We believe, with all that we are, that if we combine our efforts and information, we can make this industry more profitable and successful for the people like us that work everyday to build a small business in the Ceramic Hobby Industry.

For us, running our own small ceramics shop and helping others succeed at the same is the most exciting thing we could imagine doing.  And by founding CeramicsNetwork.com and having the privilege of working with new and existing companies in the Hobby Ceramics Industry, we are living our dream.

We hope CeramicsNetwork.com can help you succeed at the passions in your life.
